An intro type of thing.

Welcome to my blog everyone! I'm Aleksa and here is a little bit about myself.

I am an eighteen-year-old dreamer- passionately opinionated, feasting on knowledge, fascinated by the simplest of things. I have compulsively fallen in love with poetry, putting flowers in my hair, Marilyn Manson, cheap wine, tacky leopard prints, sniffing the scent of old books, receiving packages in the mail, the bitter taste of lemon in black tea, ugly shoes, cherry-coloured lips and long train rides. My interests include bizarre fashion, cats, punk and shock rock, reading shitty literature, old school rap music, reading good literature, documenting everything, body mods, watching sad movies, writing bad poetry and having heated discussions. 

I like to define myself as an equalist and an animal rights activist. I am currently a student in my last year of high school, attempting to achieve all I can to get into the field of Journalism.

 So this blog is practically a combination of music, film and book reviews along with personal posts of my experiences, life lessons and tips, inspirational posts, art, fashion, product and website reviews and practically everything else to get me writing in my spare time. I will buy you ice-cream if you visit this blog every now and then, maybe spend a solid ten minutes of your day here, pretty please? You never know, you might find something useful! I'd also like to tell you a little bit about the title of this blog- Bad Reputation. I'm sure you've all heard this song by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. It is one of the many songs that have really inspired the way I live my life- careless, reckless and hard working. The whole point of it for me is to be whoever you want to be whether people accept you or not or whether people like you or not. Despite your bad reputation, continue striving for the best, continue chasing your dreams and being the best possible version of yourself. This is simply because you are a separate entity of your own and you have a life of your own to run- YOU write the chapters of your own book. Everybody else are passers by, viewers, window shoppers and tourists. Only a few lock their hands with yours in time and stay by your side for as long as you live. I hope you remember this wherever life takes you.
